Cary's Standout Voyage
Cary is most often asked what was his favorite place traveled or experience on tour.  The answer to both is the Summer he performed for Holland America's cruise ships in Europe, the Baltics, and Egypt.  The day after his performance on the Mediterranean Sea, Cary met and became friends with John de Lancie, the mercurial character "Q" from the Star Trek Next Generation TV series.  John invited Cary to join him and his family to the pyramids during their stop at Alexandria, Egypt. 

"John, his wife, two sons, a couple of their close friends and I trekked three hours to Cairo where we first went to the Famous Egyptian Museum.  We strolled among amazing statues, walls, mummies, etc.  Then off to lunch along the Nile river.  The pyramids were something to behold, of course.  I shall never forget it".
