Setup for High School Gymnasiums

These requirements are designed for the optimum effectiveness of this performance.  If any of these requirements pose a problem, please contact Cary Trivanovich to discuss options.

GYMNASIUM SET-UP:

In school assemblies, the audience must be seated only on one side.  If seating overflow on the gym floor, please seat them directly on the floor without chairs.  This is so the students can see Mr. Trivanovich while he is performing low in a sitting or kneeling position.   Do not wrap the audience in a "horse-shoe" arrangement around Cary - they must not view the performance from the direct sides.  If floor seating exceeds 500 students, a portable stage is requested (but not required), ideally 20' wide, at least 8' deep, and 3' high (4 feet if students are seated in chairs).

In large conferences, utilizing bleachers on both sides and chairs on the floor, a stage (as specified above) and professional lighting must be provided.

SOUND:

Please provide a sound system adequate for the size of the audience with a CD player and a mic with a stand.  Cary prefers to operate the CD player himself if the sound system can be set-up on the middle of the gym floor.  Cary also travels with his soundtrack on his laptop, and with a variety of connection adaptors, which he can plug into your sound system if a CD player is not available.  If your sound system is not portable and cannot be set-up on the middle of the gym floor for Cary to operate, please provide a technician to operate the CD player during the assembly.

NO LIVE VIDEO PROJECTION DURING PERFORMANCE.

TECHNICAL REHEARSAL:
Please arrange for Cary a 45 minute private rehearsal with sound/CD technician prior to performance.
