Staging for High School Auditoriums and Youth Conferences
Gymnasium assemblies click here

These requirements are designed for the optimum effectiveness of this performance.  If any of these requirements pose a problem, please contact Cary Trivanovich to discuss options.

STAGE:

The performing area is ideally 20 feet wide and at least 8 feet deep.  Please have the stage clean.  Please have no artwork, banners, props or music instruments in view behind the performance area.  A neutral and dark background is best.

Please do not set monitors or potted plants along the front of the stage, nor high "convention" decorations in the audience, as these will obstruct viewing Cary while he is performing low to the stage surface.

LIGHTING:

The stage lighting must be brilliant into Cary's face, evenly lighting 20 feet wide across the proscenium.  If the stage lighting is not adequate, please provide a "follow-spot light," if possible.

IF IN A CONFERENCE ROOM:
Please provide a portable stage, ideally 20' wide and 12' deep, and at least 4' high (3' if students are seated on the floor without chairs).  If the stage is set in front of windows or mirrors, the windows/mirrors must be covered.  Do not wrap the audience in a "horse-shoe" arrangement around the stage - The audience must not view the stage from the direct sides.

SOUND:
Please provide a sound system adequate for the size of the room with a CD player and a mic with a stand.  Cary prefers to operate the CD player himself if the sound system can be set-up on stage.  Cary also travels with his soundtrack on his laptop, and with a variety of connection adaptors, which he can plug into your sound system if a CD player is not available.  If your sound system cannot be set-up on stage for Cary to operate, please provide a technician to operate the CD player during the assembly.

NO LIVE VIDEO PROJECTION DURING PERFORMANCE.

TECHNICAL REHEARSAL:
Please arrange for Cary an hour with sound and lighting technicians (uninterrupted, private rehearsal) prior to performance.
